Jeezy and Jeannie Mai Expecting First Baby Together

The Jenkins family is growing!

Almost 6 months after tying the knot in Atlanta, rapper Jeezy and The Real co-host Jeannie Mai just announced that they are expecting a baby.

Jeannie shared the good news first on her daytime show Monday. (Sept. 20).

The 42-year old star then shared the announcement on Instagram.

“When the heart sees what has been invisible to the eye…
I have never been this thankful to feel so alive.
Here come the Jenkins ❤️”

Her co-hosts are in full support.

Jeannie didn’t always intend to have children. In fact, not wanting kids was a major factor in her 2018 divorce from Freddy Harteis – who she was with for 10 years.

But she said on The Real, “Love can really change you.”

Jeannie told Women’s Health, “Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months. So we’re relieved to finally share the news.”

She also revealed that this news comes after a pregnancy loss: Jeannie found out she was pregnant a month before her wedding to Jeezy, which was in March, and then suffered a miscarriage. They’d been trying for a baby since last year.

“I wondered if I was being punished. I wondered if I’d jinxed myself or cursed myself. My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never,” she shared, adding, “Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure and safe … something I hadn’t felt as a child.”

Jeezy, real name Jay Wayne Jenkins, has 3 children from previous relationships – two boys and one girl. Now baby Jenkins is on the way.

Congratulations Jeezy and Jeannie!
