Bobby Brown Believes “Bodyguard” Remake Is A Bad Move

Not everyone is onboard with the Bodyguard remake, including Bobby Brown.

Whitney Houston‘s ex-husband was asked by TMZ if the new Bodyguard reboot is a bad move? He responded with a clear, “Yea!”

Tony-nominated playwright Matthew Lopez has reportedly been tapped to write a reimagining of the iconic 1992 romantic drama that starred Whitney and Kevin Costner.

No word yet on casting.

The original Bodyguard was a classic and monumental success at the box office. It grossed over $400 million worldwide and the soundtrack is the bestselling movie soundtrack of all time – featuring classic Whitney hits like, “I Will Always Love You.”

One fan wrote on Twitter, “This is such a horrible idea. There is no need for a remake of the legendary movie, The Bodyguard. Hollywood refusing to invest in new talent and create new stories is pure laziness at this point.

Someone else wrote, “If it ain’t starring Whitney, I don’t wanna see it! Nope!”

Many other fans feel the same way, including Bobby.
