2 People Killed, 5 Wounded In Shooting At Yo Gotti’s Memphis Restaraunt

Two people were killed, and five were wounded in a shootout at rapper Yo Gotti’s Memphis restaurant Wednesday night, police said.

TMZ reported that cops were called to Prive restaurant around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. It reportedly started with a confrontation inside the restaurant that eventually led to gunfire erupting in the parking lot. One man died at the scene and the other victim sadly passed away at the hospital.

Five additional victims, four males, and a female arrived at the hospital by private vehicles, according to WREG. They reported that their ages ranged from 25 years old to 37 years old.

TMZ reports that while Yo Gotti does own the restaurant, he was not in Memphis when the shooting occurred. They also stated that none of his family members were among those injured during the shooting.

The assailants fled the scene and cops have still not captured them. It is still unclear what caused the initial altercation.

For those who are not familiar with him, Yo Gotti, born Mario Mims, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He is signed to the music label Cash Money Records. Subsequently, he released his first album, Youngsta’s On a Come Up in 1996.
