An 18-year-old high school senior who had just been crowned prom queen is among three women who died in a devastating multi-vehicle crash in north St. Louis County, leaving a community in mourning.
According to authorities, the crash happened the evening of May 1 along Lewis and Clark Boulevard. Investigators say a 2013 Cadillac SUV sideswiped a 2020 Lexus, forcing it into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Toyota Highlander. The violent chain-reaction crash caused the Lexus to overturn, while the Cadillac veered off the road and struck nearby trees.
The victims were identified as 18-year-old Jordyn “Lunar” Williams, her aunt, 53-year-old Cherese Fisher, and 28-year-old Andrea Medina, a mother of two.
Williams, a senior at Ritenour High School, had been crowned prom queen just days before the crash and was preparing to graduate later this month. Her sudden death has deeply shaken classmates, teachers, and the broader school community.
School officials described the loss as especially painful, noting the community has faced multiple tragedies in recent weeks. Grief counselors have been made available to support students and staff coping with the loss.
Medina, who was driving the Toyota Highlander, has been remembered by family members as a hardworking and devoted mother whose life was cut short far too soon.
Meanwhile, authorities say the driver of the Cadillac, identified as 20-year-old Devin Daugherty, fled the scene following the crash. He now faces multiple charges, including leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and driving with a suspended license.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
As memorials grow at the crash site and at Ritenour High School, loved ones are remembering Williams not only as a prom queen, but as a young woman with a bright future that was tragically cut short.
