Mo’Nique Set To Star In BMF: Season 2

Hip-Hop executive producer 50 Cent is proving that he’s a man of his word. In March 2022, almost 2 months after telling the world that he was going to put Mo’Nique, he’s officially added her to the cast of his hit shot BMF.

50 shared the good news on Instagram.

As you all may know, Mo had a falling out with director Lee Daniels after she played in his breakout film “Precious.” She also won an Oscar for her role. Shortly after, rumors begin floating around stating that Mo’Nique was difficult to work with. She debunked these claims and basically indicated that they wanted her to do free promotion which she did not agree to do.

This cause a 13-year feud between Mo and Lee, and also caused a riff with Oprah Winfrey, who was also an executive producer of the film and her friend Tyler Perry.

About a month following 50 calling-out the three producers on how they allegedly affected Mo’s career, Lee reached out to her and apologized, which was all that she wanted. Lee also gave Mo a role in his upcoming film, Demon House. She is replacing actress Octavia Spencer.

According to 50, Tyler told him that he never prevented anyone from hiring Mo’Nique. Oprah still hasn’t responded to the claims.

Since its September launch on Starz, BMF has quickly climbed to become one of the year’s most popular television shows.

The series followed Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his brother Terry as they attempted to develop a drug empire in southwest Detriot, and it was full of surprises.

A premiere date hasn’t been released yet but it’s coming.

Mo is clearly exciting about the new opportunities coming her way, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
