Rapper Kodak Black has been released from jail after posting a $75,000 bond in connection to a felony drug trafficking case in Florida. The artist, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was taken into custody earlier this week in Orange County on allegations tied to MDMA trafficking.
According to court documents, the case stems from a November 2025 investigation in Orlando after police responded to reports of gunfire near the Children’s Safety Village. Authorities later searched vehicles connected to the scene and reportedly discovered MDMA, cash, and personal items allegedly linked to the rapper.
During a court appearance, prosecutors referenced Kodak Black’s prior legal history while the judge ultimately approved a $75,000 bond with strict conditions attached. As part of the release agreement, the rapper must stay away from drugs, firearms, and individuals associated with the case.
Kodak Black’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has maintained that the case against his client is weak and largely circumstantial. The defense argues there is insufficient evidence directly connecting the rapper to the drugs discovered during the investigation and says they plan to fight the charges in court.
The 28-year-old rapper has faced several legal battles throughout his career, including previous arrests involving weapons and drug-related offenses. Despite his ongoing legal issues, Kodak Black remains one of hip-hop’s most recognizable artists, known for hit records including “Super Gremlin,” “Tunnel Vision,” and “No Flockin.”
