Ice-T to Be Honored with a Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

Ice-T is set to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce made the announcement on social media and Ice-T responded to the recognition.

Ice-T has been making moves in the entertainment industry for years.

He started out as a DJ and released singles in 1983. One of his songs “Reckless” featuring Chris “The Glove” Taylor was the featured track in the iconic 1984 film Breakin ‘, which also ended up being Ice’s first film credit. This was just the beginning of his timeless music that included 8 solo albums and numerous collaborations.

Not only is he a veteran MC, but he has an extensive acting career.

One of Ice-T’s most memorable roles is Scotty Appleton in the classic film, New Jack City, co-starring with Wesley Snipes, Chris Rock, Mario Van Peeples, and many other notable names in Hollywood.

He’s currently making an impact on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU and has been a part of the show for over two decades.

Although his acting career is pretty lengthy, Ice will be presented with a star in the Recording category. Public Enemy’s Chuck D, Law & Order creator Dick Wolf, and Ice-T’s co-star Mariska Hargitay will be speaking at his ceremony.

The pioneer rapper and actor will be receiving the 2,747th star on Friday, 17 at 11:30 a.m. at 7065 Hollywood Boulevard. The event will be live streaming on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Instagram page.
