Gospel Artists React To Kanye West Occupying The Entire Christian and Gospel Charts

Kanye West has been the topic of discussion for some weeks following the release of his latest album, “Donda.”

A few years ago, the rapper’s music took a creative turn into religious territory, and he quickly found himself topping the Billboard charts. Now with this new album, which was named after his late mother, Kanye is dominating the charts again.

This week, the music mogul is occupying every spot on the Christian and Gospel charts. The rapper controls the highest 23 spots on both rankings with tunes from the new album, occupying 92% of both lists, which feature 25 spaces. (Update: He now holds every spot.)

Although many Gospel artists and producers celebrated Kanye on his success, they shed light on the logistics of the music industry.

Award-winning producer Rodney Jerkins and some gospel artists are open to having a discussion about this matter.

Fred Hammond took this opportunity to promote his own music.

One thing most Gospel artists agree on is that Kanye’s album has the ability to bring in an abundance of fans that could potentially be open to learning more about God’s Word. This new movement could be a good thing.

What do y’all think? Is Kanye’s album doing more harm than good? What do you think about the “Donda” album?
