Wendy Williams Hospitalized For Psychiatric Evaluation, Show Premiere Is Delayed

Wendy Williams was taken to the hospital one day before her talk show announced that she tested positive for COVID-19.

According to TMZ, sources close to Wendy said she was voluntarily admitted to an NYC hospital Tuesday for a psych evaluation. Wendy has been struggling with mental illness for a while.

While being admitted to the hospital, the talk show hosted tested positive for COVID-19, but she’s asymptomatic. She isn’t showing any symptoms.

Doctors are continuing to monitor her mental health.

The Wendy Williams Show’s 13th season was set to premiere on September 20, but it’s been pushed to October 4.

Last week producers revealed she was dealing with “ongoing health issues” and would not be able to make it to promotional activities as she was being evaluated.

Sending love and prayers to Wendy during her recovery.
