Tyrese’s Mother Priscilla Murray Has Passed Away

After a long battle in the hospital, Tyrese‘s mother Priscilla Murray has passed away.

The singer and actor shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram with a video of him holding his mother’s hand.

In the caption, Tyrese thanked everyone for their prayers and shared his sorrow after his loss.

“On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent anytime praying tor my mother This is the saddest moment of my life………. My sweet Valentine just passed away….. May the lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her………. We as a family are broken and just can’t believe this……. May the lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens……. From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go………. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother…..”

The “Sweet Lady” singer has been keeping fans updated on his mom’s condition. On Feb. 5, Tyrese revealed that his mother was in a coma fighting pneumonia and COVID-19.

“In the middle of filming and just got the worst phone call I’ve ever gotten…,” Tyrese shared in the post. “My mother is in a coma, in ICU, with Pneumonia and she caught Covid they got her so sedated she can’t breathe or even eat on her own.”

Tyrese has been known to shower his mom with surprises. Back in 2000, he had his mother attend the Oprah Winfrey Show to present her with a brand new house.

Recently while his mother was hospitalized, he asked Grammy award-winning saxophonist Kenny G to serenade Priscilla. The musician went on Instagram Live and Tyrese placed the phone next to his mother’s ear so she could hear the soothing sound of Kenny G.

Priscilla passed away on Valentine’s Day.

Tyrese also shared that his oldest sister Salendra, who they also call Pookie, died unexpectedly 4 months ago.

Sending our deepest condolences to Tyrese and his family.
