Tyler Perry had an epic week! On Tuesday, the director was honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in Hollywood, CA…

…then over the weekend he celebrated one of his biggest accomplishments, which was opening the first major production studio owned by an African-American, which is also one of the largest film production studios in the nation.

Check out some of the highlights of this unforgettable week.

The Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Hollywood, CA:

Tyler was named the new recipient of a Hollywood star and October 1st was deemed Tyler Perry Day.

Family, friends, and fans were in attendance to celebrate this special honor including, actors Crystal Fox, Kerry Washington, and Idris Elba who delivered beautiful speeches.

Cast members of Tyler’s shows and films were in attendance as well.

The Grand Opening Of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, GA:

A few days later, Tyler opened his brand new 330-acre-large studio to showcase to the public. Tyler says it’s a kind of poetic justice that he’s built it on a former Confederate army base.

In addition to having the first full-scale replica of the White House, the studio has 12 soundstages bearing the names of black pioneers in film, such as Spike Lee, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, Denzel Washington, Diahann Carroll, Will Smith, Halle Berry, Della Reese, John Singleton and Sidney Poitier were also honored during the grand opening.

The celebration started on Friday with a fun-filled day for Tyler’s staff and crew.

The celebration continued on Saturday with stars pouring in to explore the massive studio for the first time.

Stars such as Bill Clinton, Beyoncé, the beautiful Cicely Tyson and many more made an appearance.

Happy Sunday. Congratulations to Tyler Perry on the opening of his studios. I could feel our ancestors’ presence. Surrounded by my heroes, I watched Denzel, Queen Oprah, Spike, Whoopi, Sir Poitier, Will, Halle , Dame Cicely and our angels John Singleton and Diahann Carroll honored. The Armand de Brignac crashed against each soundstage as fireworks lit up the sky. Generations of blood, sweat and tears, success, excellence and brilliance. It makes me so proud, so full, I could not stop crying. Thank you my Virgo brother for so much love and passion put into every detail. My prayer today is that you will take it all in. You inspire me to dream even bigger.
