Tracy Morgan and his wife Megan Wollover have called it quits. The comedian-turned actor revealed in a statement to PEOPLE that they are filing for divorce.
“Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy,” Tracy tells PEOPLE in a statement released through his spokesperson on Wednesday.
“We can confirm that Megan filed for divorce yesterday,” a rep for Megan says in a statement. “This is a private matter for the family. Megan’s primary focus remains the best interest of the parties’ daughter. She asks that the family’s privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
The couple shares a 7-year old daughter — Maven Sonae.
Tracy is also dad to adult sons Gitrid, 34, and Malcom, 32, whom he shares with ex-wife Sabrina Morgan.
Tracy and Megan married 14 months after a Walmart truck driver slammed into Tracy’s limo — leaving him in a wheelchair for months and killing his friend James McNair.
He settled in a lawsuit with Walmart for allegedly $90 million.
It’s unexpecting that the couple is divorcing, considering Tracy was recently joking about impregnating his wife during quarantine.
