T.I. Will Teach ‘Business Of Trap Music’ At Clark Atlanta University This Fall

T.I., who is widely considered the king and founded of trap music, will be teaching the hip-hop genre at Clark Atlanta University this fall.

According to Billboard, the Grammy award-winning artist and actor will be teaching the ‘Business of Trap Music’ along with hip-hop scholar, Dr. Melva K. Williams. The discussions will include the history of trap music and the economic aspect of it.
T.I. shared his excitement about the new course.
“I’m excited to share my experiences and whatever resources or information I have that can be an asset for the future,” said T.I. to Billboard regarding heading to CAU this fall. “”Drugs have existed for as long as humans have been on earth and music has existed for quite some time as well. The commonality that threads the two together is what makes trap music a dominant force in culture today.”
T.I. went on to explain how he wanted to speak on his lifestyle in the music and others who grew up in this environment.
As previously reported, Clark Atlanta University will also be offering scholarships to all four children of Rayshard Brooks — the black man who was killed by Atlanta PD in a Wendy’s drive-thru two weeks ago. This could be an interesting course for them to take when they get older.
