Sunday’s Best: Season 10 Set To Premiere In July

BET’s hit Gospel show, Sunday’s Best is set to premiere its 10th season on July 5 at 8 p.m. ET.

The singing competition series will be again hosted by Grammy award-winning artist Kirk Franklin and the returning judges are Erica CampbellKelly Price, and Johnathan McReynolds.

According to Deadline, the show will feature exclusive performances from artists including Yolanda AdamsMarvin SappMali Music, season 9’s winner, Melvin CrispellIII with additional performers set to be announced in the forthcoming weeks.

Auditions were previously held earlier this year in Atlanta, GA at The House of Hope and the first three episodes were filmed in a studio with a live audience but halted due to the coronavirus Pandemic. Production presumed a few weeks ago to complete the season.

“In light, of the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to keep the shows judges, contestants and crew safe – new and innovative technology, techniques and artist-generated content were used to complete production of episodes four through eight of season 10 – allowing the audience to join in on weekly praise & worship during the time when America needs it most,” the network said in a statement.

The season 10 winner will receive a recording contract with RCA Inspiration, a cash prize of $50,000 and the title “Sunday Best.”
