Roland Buck III Joins CBS’s ‘FBI’ as Special Agent Isaiah Green

Roland Buck III is taking on a new role in the world of law enforcement television.

The actor has joined CBS’s hit crime drama “FBI” as Special Agent Isaiah Green, becoming the newest partner for longtime series lead Maggie Bell, played by Missy Peregrym.

Buck III will make his debut when FBI returns for its ninth season with the premiere episode, “Rendition,” on October 5. The episode is part of a crossover event connecting FBI with CBS’s CIA.

The casting marks another chapter in Buck III’s relationship with the Wolf Entertainment television universe. Audiences may recognize him from “Chicago Med,” where he portrayed Dr. Noah Sexton.

On FBI, Buck III’s Isaiah Green will step into a key position within the New York field office as Maggie adjusts to working with a new partner. CBS’ official synopsis reveals that Maggie will struggle to bond with Green as the team investigates the death of an innocent bystander connected to a top-secret government project.

The Season 9 premiere picks up after the explosive events of Season 8, which left the FBI team dealing with the fallout from a dangerous bioweapon case and OA Zidan’s apparent firing. It was later revealed that OA’s departure was connected to an undercover operation involving Maggie and Isobel Castille.

Now, with OA moving into a new role and Maggie facing a new professional partnership, Green’s arrival is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the series.

The season premiere, “Rendition,” is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode will also help launch the network’s FBI/CIA crossover, with CIA following FBI in the CBS lineup.

For Buck III, the new role represents a major opportunity to step into one of television’s established crime-drama franchises—and fans will soon get their first look at Special Agent Isaiah Green in action.
