Richard Fierro, a dad and Army Veteran who was having a fun night with his family, explained how he took down a gunman with the help of others.

Colorado Springs Police released the booking photos of the 22-year-old accused of carrying out a mass shooting over the weekend at an LGBTQ nightclub that left five dead and more than a dozen injured.

Anderson Lee Aldrich entered Club Q on Saturday just before midnight armed with an AR-style weapon and a handgun and immediately began shooting, police said.

The suspect was quickly taken down and contained by two patrons until police arrived, which officials say likely prevented more people from being killed or injured.

Officials named the “heroes” who halted the attack as Fierro and Thomas James.

Aldrich is now in custody and will remain held without bond following his court appearance Wednesday.
