Pamela Hutchinson Of The Emotions Has Passed Away At 61

Pamela Hutchinson, one of the singers of the iconic R&B group the Emotions, has passed away at the age of 61.

The group announced the sad news on their Facebook fan page. They revealed that she had been battling different health challenges for several years but didn’t specify the cause of death.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
In loving memory, we are saddened to announce the passing of our sister, Pamela Rose Hutchinson, on Friday, September 18, 2020. Pam succumbed to health challenges that she’d been battling for several years. Now our beautiful sister will sing amongst the angels in heaven in perfect peace.

During this time, the family kindly asks for fans and friends to respect our privacy. We appreciate all kind words, photos, and videos you may want to post for our beloved Pamela and of course your loving prayers. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. We love you, Pamela!

Thank you and as always, You Got The Best of Our Love.
-The Emotions🙏✝️💓💓

The Emotions were best known for their hits, “The Best of My Love,” “Don’t Ask My Neighbor,” and “Boogie Wonderland” with Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Pam was the youngest of the famous trio — her older sister, Wanda and Sheila are a good 5 to 7 years older than her … which might have to do with the fact that Pam actually replaced the other original sister, Jeanette.

Sending condolences to the family. Rest in peace, Pam.
