Ne-Yo Against Paying Alimony To Estranged Wife Crystal Smith And Wants Exclusive Use Of Georgia Home

The divorce between singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and his estranged wife Crystal Smith doesn’t look like it’s going to be a smooth process.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online Crystal requested primary custody of their three young children and permanent alimony.

She told the court she relied on Ne-Yo’s money to pay the bills since they agreed she wouldn’t work.

Ne-Yo objected to Crystal’s request. He asked for joint physical custody and agreed to paying child support but he’s against paying any spousal support.

The “So Sick” singer also demanded to maintain exclusive use of their Georgia home, since he’s the one that’s been responsible for the mortgage and maintenance.

The singer said he purchased 3 properties during the marriage and maintained them by himself. Ne-Yo wants Crystal’s lack of contribution considered when the assets are divided up.

Ne-Yo also wants Crystal to pay her own legal fees, totaling to at least $25,000.

As previously reported, Crystal filed for divorce on August 1 in Georgia. According to her, Ne-Yo was still being unfaithful and she was done. It was also said that Ne-Yo father a child with another woman.

It looks like the road to an official divorce is going to be a little Rocky between these two.
