From “The Lion King” to a young Michael Jackson, this industry Veteran has landed an exciting new role on season 4 of “The Chi”. The hit Showtime series, announced Jason, along with popular chef Tabitha Brown, will be joining the cast for this upcoming season.

The legendary actor and Chicago native, will portray Rahsaad “Shaad” Marshall, who is the old friend of character Trig, portrayed by Luke James. Social media influencer and chef, Tabitha Brown is casted to play Octavia, a successful interior designer.

The drama series, explores the daily life and struggles of South side Chicago residents are coincidentally connected.

The series created by Lena Waithe, is reportedly still in production and it expected to premiere later this year with no confirmed date.
