We have a lil bit of news for you soap fans. Bold And The Beautiful star John McCook is resting comfortably after going through hip replacement surgery. The 74 year old is best known for portraying the role of Eric Forrester for years and years. McCook’s wife of 38 years, Laurette McCook, took to Twitter during his surgery beaming about how her hubby was in good spirits. She also posted a pic of John being wheeled off to his operation.

“I couldn’t be prouder of my guy as he entertained nurses on his way to surgery for hip replacement. Home today. He’s my warrior! I love you John McCook!!!”

They are so cute together!

The wifey also posted a beautiful bouquet of flowers given to Eric by CBS Studios…wishing him a speedy recovery.

We’re hoping that John will be right as rain after this hip replacement surgery. We’re gonna need him to hold down the fort at Forrester Creations.
