Former Lions And Chargers Linebacker, Jessie Lemonier, Dead At 25

Sad news for football fans.

Former Linebacker, Jessie Lemonier, has passed away at the age of 25. This terrible news was released by the Detroit Lions in a statement posted on Twitter.

No details have been released regarding his cause of death.

The Florida native was drafted into the NFL in 2020, signing with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played six games with the chargers and then signed with the Detroit Lions ahead of season 2021. Summer of 2022, he was on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad, before he was eventually released. Ahead of his death, Lemonier was drafted by Arlington Renegades in November 2022, before opting to sign with the USFL’s Houston Gamblers instead. Shortly after, he was traded to the Birmingham Stallions.

According to ESPN, it was recently revealed that Lemonier and his girlfriend — whose identity has not been publicly revealed, were expecting their first child together.
