DMX Hospitalized After Suffering Drug Overdose
DMX has been rushed to the hospital after suffering a drug overdose that triggered a heart attack.
According to TMZ, their sources say the prognosis isn’t good and the rapper is in grave condition.
He’s being cared for in an intensive care unit at a White Plains, NY hospital. One source says he has “some brain activity,” but then another source says he’s in a “vegetative state.”
DMX, pioneer of the Ruff Ryders label, has struggled with substance abuse for many years. He’s been to rehab several times and has even been featured on Iyanla: Fix My Life.
DMX has been in and out of rehab to fight his addition. His last visit to a rehabilitation center was back in 2019, after he completed a 12-month sentence for tax evasion.
Since completing rehab, X has been making club appearances, showing up at Vegas shows, and participated in a Verzuz battle with Snoop Dogg. The pair brought in over 500K viewers.
