Boris Kodjoe is headed to Fox’s crime drama “Memory of a Killer.”
The Station 19 veteran has joined the cast for the show’s upcoming second season in a recurring role. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere at midseason in 2027.
Kodjoe will portray Tré, the “Fourth Musketeer” and closest childhood friend of Angelo Flannery, played by Patrick Dempsey, Michael Imperioli’s Dutch, and Richard Clarkin’s Michael.
Tré has taken a very different path from his childhood friends. He is now a high-level executive at a major company and is described as the only member of the group who “broke good.” He returns to their community as he is honored for saving their childhood community center.
Kodjoe joins several new faces coming to the series in Season 2. Meta Golding has been cast as a series regular as Mel, Angelo’s childhood sweetheart and a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist who reenters his life. Natalie Zea is also joining in a recurring role as Olivia, an ambitious businesswoman who has built a successful life on her own terms.
Inspired by the award-winning 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer, “Memory of a Killer” follows Angelo, a hitman living a dangerous double life while secretly battling memory loss.
Season 1 ended with Angelo defeating FBI Agent Linda Grant, who was revealed to be the vengeful Ferryman. Before her death, Grant exposed Angelo’s secret by anonymously sending a file detailing his murders to his daughter, Maria. The season concluded with Maria arriving at Angelo’s hideout and demanding the truth.
The Season 1 cast also includes Peter Gadiot, Richard Harmon, Odeya Rush and Daniel David Stewart.
Kodjoe is best known for his roles in Soul Food, Undercovers, The Real Husbands of Hollywood, Code Black, Love & Basketball, Brown Sugar, Baggage Claim and the Resident Evil franchise. He most recently starred as Captain Robert Sullivan on ABC’s Station 19, where he also stepped behind the camera to direct during the show’s final season.
He made his Broadway debut in the 2008 revival of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, appearing alongside the legendary James Earl Jones.
Following news of his casting, Kodjoe celebrated the new opportunity on Instagram, writing that his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, told him he needed to “get out of the house more.” He added that he was grateful to “mix it up with some legends.”
“Memory of a Killer” Season 2 premieres midseason 2027 on Fox.
