Betty White Dead At 99; Remembering A Legend
Trailblazing star Betty White has died just weeks before her 100th birthday.
According to TMZ, law enforcement said Betty passed away at her home around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
The actress and comedian’s Hollywood career expands over 8 decades. She got her early start in radio in the 40s, then she eventually landed her own radio show in 1949.
She is mostly recognized as playing Rose Nylund in the hit sitcom show, The Golden Girls.
Betty also starred in other shows such as Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mama’s Family, and The Bold and the Beautiful.
Back in 1977, she had her very own show, entitled The Betty White Show.
The legend didn’t end there, she also starred in many films such as: Lake Placid, Bringing Down the House, and The Proposal.
With so many credits to her name, Betty has won 5 Emmys, Screen Actors Guild Awards, American Comedy Awards, and 1 Grammy back in 2012.
She has many nominations and Lifetime Achievement Awards under her belt, proving that she is truly the G.O.A.T. of longevity in comedy.
Betty was 99 years old and preparing for her 100th Birthday Celebration on January 17. She will truly be missed.
