Tetona Jackson Joins ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Roxanne Barrington in November

Fans of The Young and the Restless will soon see a familiar Genoa City character return to the screen with a new face. Actress Tetona Jackson is joining the CBS daytime drama as Roxanne Barrington, the former love interest of Devon Winters, played by Bryton James.

According to TV Insider and Soap Opera Digest, Jackson will make her debut in November 2026, taking over the role previously portrayed by actress Tatyana Ali. Roxanne originally appeared on the long-running soap opera from 2007 to 2013, leaving behind a complicated romantic history with Devon.

Tetona Jackson Takes Over the Role of Roxanne

Jackson is no stranger to television audiences. She has built an impressive list of credits, including starring roles as Simone Graham in BET’s Boomerang, Cassie Fulner in Hulu’s All Night, and Nina Fulton in CBS’ Poppa’s House. She has also appeared in Freeform’s Good Trouble, ABC’s Home Economics, NBC’s Chicago Med, and The CW’s Dynasty.

Although Jackson is making her daytime soap opera debut, she brings experience across comedy and drama to the role.

Ali, who originated Roxanne, earned multiple NAACP Image Awards for her performance on The Young and the Restless. Her portrayal helped establish Roxanne as an important part of Devon’s romantic storyline.

Roxanne and Devon’s Complicated History

Roxanne and Devon’s relationship was filled with romance, heartbreak, and misunderstandings. The couple began dating in 2007, but their relationship experienced several ups and downs over the years.

Their romance was particularly strained after Roxanne discovered Devon with Tyra, played by Eva Marcille. Although the two eventually reconciled, another major misunderstanding involving Devon’s inheritance and Roxanne’s intentions ultimately contributed to their breakup.

Roxanne eventually left Genoa City in 2013, leaving fans to wonder whether her story was truly over. Now, her return raises questions about what brings her back and whether she and Devon could reconnect.

With Jackson stepping into the role, viewers can expect a new chapter for the character, although specific details about Roxanne’s upcoming storyline have not yet been announced.

A New Era for ‘The Young and the Restless’

Jackson’s casting is among the first additions announced under the soap’s new co-head writers, Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor. Their material is scheduled to begin airing Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

Actor Fareed Ward is also joining the series as Dr. Andrew Bishop, a physician who will work alongside Nate Hastings, played by Sean Dominic, and Stephanie Simmons, played by Vivica A. Fox, at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.

The casting changes signal new developments for the long-running CBS drama as it moves into its next chapter.

Viewers will have to tune in to see how Roxanne’s return affects Devon and whether the former couple has unfinished business.
