Soap opera fans are in for a special treat as The Young and the Restless stars Christel Khalil and Bryton James bring their beloved characters to Beyond the Gates for an exciting crossover event this November.
Khalil, who portrays Lily Winters, and James, who plays Devon Winters, are set to appear on the CBS daytime drama on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, bringing a familiar connection from Genoa City to the fictional community of Fairmont Crest. The crossover will connect two of daytime television’s popular soap operas through music, family and a meaningful tribute to a beloved character.
Lily and Devon Join the Musical Storyline
According to reports, the siblings will make their way to Fairmont Crest as Anita Dupree, played by Tamara Tunie, and her former singing group, The Articulettes, prepare to record a new album.
Devon’s background in the music industry makes him a natural fit for the storyline, while Lily will accompany her brother because she is a big fan of the group. Their visit will also bring them into contact with Anita and her husband, Vernon Dupree, portrayed by Clifton Davis.
The appearance marks Khalil’s first time bringing Lily Winters to Beyond the Gates. For James, however, it will be his third appearance on the CBS series as Devon, following his previous visits to Fairmont Crest.
Honoring Neil Winters and Kristoff St. John
Beyond the musical storyline, the crossover is expected to deliver an emotional moment for longtime The Young and the Restless viewers. Anita and Vernon will reflect on their connection to Neil Winters, the father of Lily and Devon, who was portrayed by the late Kristoff St. John.
St. John, who died in 2019, remains a memorable part of the show’s legacy. The tribute offers an opportunity to recognize the impact of Neil Winters and honor the actor whose performance helped make the character a fan favorite.
James has expressed appreciation for the show’s decision to acknowledge St. John’s legacy, describing the recognition as a meaningful gesture toward the late television star.
