Reginae Carter and Riley Burruss could be bringing their famous family connections and reality television experience to Atlanta as they are reportedly in talks to join Bravo’s upcoming series, Next Gen ATL.
According to a report from TMZ published October 23, sources familiar with the situation say Carter, daughter of rapper Lil Wayne and television personality Toya Johnson, and Burruss, daughter of singer and The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kandi Burruss, are being considered for the new series. However, neither has finalized a deal to join the cast.
The potential casting news comes after Bravo announced Next Gen ATL, an Atlanta-based spinoff of Next Gen NYC. The new series is expected to follow a younger generation of rising personalities as they navigate their careers, friendships, relationships and family dynamics in a city known for its influence on hip-hop, sports and entertainment.
Burruss is already familiar to Bravo viewers through her appearances on Next Gen NYC, where she has been navigating adulthood and building her own identity while growing up in the spotlight as the daughter of a well-known entertainment personality. Her possible move to Atlanta could help connect the two installments of the franchise.
Carter also brings years of reality television experience. She has appeared in several reality series and has continued to establish herself in entertainment beyond being the daughter of two prominent figures in the music and television industries.
Other names reportedly being considered for the Atlanta cast include Noelle Robinson, daughter of The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Cynthia Bailey, and one of Married to Medicine star Dr. Simone Whitmore’s sons, according to TMZ.
While the potential lineup has already sparked interest among reality television fans, Bravo has not officially confirmed the cast members.
If Carter and Burruss join the series, viewers could get a closer look at their lives, ambitions and relationships as they navigate Atlanta’s entertainment scene alongside other young adults with famous family connections.
For now, fans will have to wait for further announcements to see who will officially join the cast of Next Gen ATL.
