Rock star Lenny Kravitz has officially entered the Barbie universe — as a Ken doll.
Mattel has released the new Barbie Signature Kenbassadors Lenny Kravitz Ken Doll, giving fans and collectors the opportunity to own a miniature version of the Grammy-winning musician. The collectible was released September 17, 2026, as part of Mattel’s celebration of Ken’s 65th anniversary.
Kravitz is the second celebrity to be honored as a Kenbassador, following NBA superstar LeBron James, whose Ken doll was released in 2025.
The new doll is designed in Kravitz’s likeness and pays close attention to the musician’s signature appearance. It features his trademark locs, tattoos and nose ring, along with an outfit inspired by his recent Blue Electric Light Tour.
The Ken doll wears a bronze-colored mesh cowl-neck tank top, boot-cut denim jeans, a studded belt, boots and sunglasses. Mattel also included a doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity with the collectible.
The attention to detail goes beyond the clothing. Kravitz told PEOPLE that the sunglasses were modeled after vintage frames from the late 1960s that he has worn, while the necklace featured on the doll was inspired by one that belonged to his mother, actress Roxie Roker. The doll also includes a recreation of the tattoo of his mother on his forearm.
For Kravitz, the collaboration is a full-circle moment.
“Barbie is an institution,” Kravitz said, describing the honor of becoming only the second Kenbassador as surreal. He recalled growing up around Barbie dolls, G.I. Joes and Kens and never imagining that he would one day have a figure of his own.
Mattel’s Barbie team says the Kenbassadors Collection celebrates influential men who have made an impact on culture while encouraging individuality and self-expression. Mattel Vice President and Head of Barbie Nathan Baynard highlighted Kravitz’s music, fashion and creative career as reasons for honoring him with the collectible.
The doll also represents a snapshot of Kravitz’s current career era. His clothing is based on his Blue Electric Light Tour, which supported his 2024 album Blue Electric Light. The tour lasted approximately two and a half years and recently came to an end.
Kravitz has spent nearly four decades in the entertainment industry, beginning with his 1989 debut album Let Love Rule. Throughout his career, he has earned four Grammy Awards and expanded his work into acting, producing, design and fashion.
The Lenny Kravitz Kenbassadors doll retails for $70 in the United States and is available through Mattel Creations and select major retailers.
And there may be one very special recipient getting a doll of her own dad.
Kravitz told PEOPLE that he plans to send one of the dolls to his daughter, actress Zoë Kravitz, saying he thinks it will be fun for her to see it.
From his music and fashion to his unmistakable style, Lenny Kravitz’s larger-than-life image has now been officially captured in Ken form — and the level of detail has fans doing a double take.
