Woman Told She Was ‘Too Big’ To Get A Pedicure At A Houston Nail Salon

A Houston woman was denied pedicure services and was told she’s ‘too big’ for their small chairs.

According to NBC 12, Tina Lewis said an employee at Rose Nails Salon in Houston told her she was too heavy. The employee said she was afraid Lewis would break the chair and Tina said they were discriminating.

The shop’s security cameras captured the interaction Thursday afternoon.

Here’s more on the story.

The owner of the nail salon said a chair costs a few hundred dollars, and they can’t afford repairs, so they have to run the business accordingly.

What do y’all think? Did the owner do right by refusing service or should all businesses accommodate customers? Leave us a comment below.
