Whitney Houston Hologram Tour Is Set To Kick Off Next Week
Well, it looks like it’s actually happening. Whitney Houston hologram is going on tour 8 years after her death.
The singer’s sister-in-law and former manager Pat Houston, who serves as the executor of Houston’s estate, joined forces with BASE Hologram 5 years ago to make this possible.
The company used a body double to turn hundreds of hours of Houston’s performance videos into a near life-like experience.
Professional dancers and a live band will accompany the hologram on stage. The dancers were choreographed by Fatima Robinson, who has worked with Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, and Mary J. Blige.
There was an outcry last year when it was announced the late Grammy award-winning singer would have a hologram. Many expressed that Pat and her team should let Whitney rest and not ruin her legacy with a hologram that may potentially flop.
But…the show is going on and footage of it has been circulating on British TV.
Here’s a sneak peek of the performance, as well as some critiques:
I’m not saying the Whitney Houston hologram tour will be a hot mess, but they are suggesting she had as much grace as a malfunctioning The Sims character wafting away a fart on #ThisMorning pic.twitter.com/9uJJCnCfTZ

Let’s just say the folks are not here for Pat nor this hologram.
Whitney Houston wanted to die so that you could profit off of her posthumously by creating a hologram tour with Playstation 1 graphics? Chile…the delusion. https://t.co/QPjkZQ8G97 pic.twitter.com/3nsoN12ji0
