“Wendy Williams Show” Paying People To Sit In The Audience
Let’s be honest. Things haven’t been the same since Wendy Williams took time off from her show. Ratings have taken a dip, and the co-hosts (studio audience) isn’t as present as before.
In order to solve the latter issue, producers of the show are offering to pay non-union, vaccinated people $75 to sit in on an episode, according to an email blast that was sent out.
“$75 CASH incentive, given same day (3 hrs),” the message boasts.
The 57-year old talk show host is expected to be off the air through at least early November as she continues to recover from health woes stemming from her Graves’ disease.
“She is making progress, but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ disease and her thyroid condition,” the show’s production company, Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement. “It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties.”
It’s also been reported that Wendy is allegedly still struggling with alcohol abuse and mental illness. During her hospitalization, she also tested positive for COVID-19 but was considered asymptomatic.
The show has a list of guest hosts that will fill in for Wendy but according to fans, there’s no one like the original.
