A video has being circulating on social media showing a teenager getting bullied in his classroom by multiple students. As a result of the attacks, the teen pulled out a sharp object and allegedly stabbed his classmate.

A student was stabbed during a fight Monday afternoon at Patterson High School, district officials tell 11 News.

Baltimore City Schools officials said it happened in a classroom, and the injured student was rushed to a hospital while the other student was taken into custody.

School officials didn’t confirm if a teacher was in the classroom when the stabbing happened, and they aren’t updating the injured student’s condition. They say the other student will receive appropriate consequences.

The sister of that student told 11 News that he was attacked by several students and that he was protecting himself.

“The school was placed on alert status to enable police to ensure the safety of all students and staff members,” the district said in a statement. “Providing safe, secure and positive climates for teaching and learning is City Schools’ top priority. Acts of violence will not be tolerated, and the student taken into custody will receive all appropriate consequences in accordance with both the district’s code of conduct and the law.”

Well, it may help the situation if there were actual active teachers or adult supervision in the classroom. Also there shouldn’t be so much free time allowed for these acts to take place.
