Tia Mowry Returning To A New Lifetime Movie Suspense “Single Black Tenant”

Tia Mowry is heading back to the small screen this summer with a new Lifetime thriller, Single Black Tenant, which she will both star in and executive produce.

The upcoming film is part of Lifetime’s “Ripped From the Headlines” slate and is set to premiere Saturday, June 27 at 8/7c.

Storyline

Inspired by true events, Single Black Tenant follows Esme Williams, a woman who believes she has finally achieved stability after moving into an affordable apartment in Cleveland. Her sense of security quickly unravels when she begins to suspect her landlord is tied to a dangerous and potentially deadly secret.

As tension builds, Esme becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering the truth, piecing together clues until she can no longer ignore the disturbing reality unfolding around her.

Production details

The film is produced by Bruce Harvey for CMW Mountain Productions Inc. in association with Studio TF1 America. Executive producers include Timothy O. Johnson, Laurie Pozmantier, Stacy Mandelberg, alongside Mowry herself.

This marks another collaboration between Mowry and Lifetime, continuing a partnership that includes multiple original films, including her 2024 holiday feature A Very Merry Beauty Salon, where she also served as star and executive producer.

Single Black Tenant continues her ongoing slate of projects under her multi-picture deal with the network.
