A teenage boy and a woman is in police custody for the murder of rapper PnB Rock. According to reports, the teenager is 17-years old and the woman is identified as his stepmother. Los Angeles Police Capt. Kelly Muniz said the minor was arrested on suspicion of murder in Lawndale, and Shauntel Trone, 38, was arrested on suspicion of accessory to murder.

LAPD is searching for a third suspect, Freddie Lee Trone, 40, who is the teen’s father. Authorities released Trone’s photo to the public in hopes that someone would recognize him and track him down.

PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, was killed at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in the L.A. location on Sept. 13. In the attack, a gunman demanded jewelry and other valuables before getting into a struggle with PnB and opening fire, LAPD Chief Michel Moore said.

Moore said the shooting occurred soon after the the 30-year old rapper was tagged by his girlfriend online as being at the restaurant, and police are investigating whether that is what prompted the attack.

Law enforcement states that based on evidence gathered so far, Trone and his son were at the Roscoe’s parking lot before any social media posts related to Rock’s presence there were publicized online.

Multiple law enforcement sources told NBC LA that Trone is a longtime member of a South Los Angeles street gang and eluded detectives as they attempted to arrest him Tuesday.

He is still on the run.
