Actress, director, and producer Tasha Smith and her twin sister Sidra Smith– who is also a director, producer and executive producer of Essence Makers and Creators — are teaming up for a special edition of Master Class Talk: Women Take The Lead.
The Masterclass Talk: ‘Women Take Lead’ is a bold, unapologetic and empowering statement/conversation around how black women in the film and television industry are rising to defeat the odds, from unequal pay to sexual violence and erasure. Women continue to take the lead in changing the narrative for the future of women in the film and television, both locally and abroad. It will also lend a voice to the subject of ‘closing the global gap’ between South African actors and the world.
The Why Did I Get Married actress posted the announcement on Instagram with a video of her and her twin sister posing for photogs.
