Tamron Hall is here to set the record straight!

In a recent episode of the Tamron Hall Show, the the 49-year old host rightfully defended former judge Gabrielle Union on her exit from “America’s Got Talent,” expressing that she’s tired of women being perceived as ‘difficult’ when they speak up.

A report was then released that ABC’s Tamron Hall ‘blew a gasket’ backstage after learning competitor Kelly Clarkson‘s talk show was renewed before hers, as the host faces slipping ratings and claims from producers that she’s too controlling.

Although Tamron and Kelly’s shows launched on the same day, reports say that their numbers were different — leading the network to announce early renewal for Kelly’s show.

Now, this doesn’t mean that Tamron’s show will not get picked up for a second season.

The source from the report alleged that Tamron heard the news about Kelly’s show being renewed and she exploded, ‘We would have gotten an early renewal too if you were all doing a better job!’

Well, the former Today host says that this story is false! Here’s her statement:

Welp it was bound to happen the ole difficult and angry is lame. ..So here is my statement. “It’s ironic that a few days after I said on my show that I’ve seen ‘men storm out of rooms, puffing and huffing, and no one says anything’ while ‘women [who] speak up [are viewed] as difficult’ that someone would leak a false story about me being difficult. As I said live on my show while defending Gabrielle Union, women are perceived as ‘difficult’ when they speak up. I have never once complained about Kelly’s renewal – I am so happy for my fellow Texan. I’m excited about my show and I can’t wait for season 2!!”

There you have it! Tamron is happy for the Kelly Clarkson Show‘s renewal, but she is also frustrated that every time a black woman speaks her mind she is labeled “difficult.”
