Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2022 Includes Mariah Carey, Isley Brothers, and The Neptunes

A few legendary songwriters will be honored this year, and it’s about time!

After 2 years of silence (primarily due to the pandemic), the Songwriters Hall of Fame committee has announced the 2022 inductees. 

The diverse class includes, pop diva Mariah Carey, talented producers The Neptunes, the British electro-pop band Eurythmics, psychedelic bluesman Steve Miller, and the iconic Isley Brother.

The songwriters will be honored at a gala Thursday night at the Marriott Marquis in New York. A list of performers and presenters has not yet been revealed.

Lil Nas X will also be honored Thursday with the Hal David Starlight Award, which recognizes “gifted young songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry via their original songs.

Songwriters are eligible for induction after writing hit songs for at least 20 years and the hall includes such iconic songwriters as Burt BacharachMissy ElliottPaul McCartney and Carly Simon.
