Smokey Robinson, Berry Gordy, Jr., Cicely Tyson, Ray Charles, and More To Be Inducted Into The Black Music And Entertainment Walk Of Fame
The Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame has announced its 2022 inductees, and the list is iconic.
According to the organization’s Instagram page, Motown founder Berry Gordy, Jr. will be honored, along with legends Smokey Robinson, the late Ray Charles, and recently passed Hollywood star Cicely Tyson.
Other deserving artists who will be inducted are: Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, New Edition, Lionel Richie and TLC, and Prince – who passed away back in 2019.
Gospel artists BeBe and CeCe Winans, Yolanda Adams and Donald Lawrence will also be honored.
Tyler Perry will be recognized as well as “mainstream mogul” at the ceremony.
The event will take place in Atlanta Feb. 17, 2022.
