Shemar Moore Returns To “The Young And The Restless”

Shemar Moore is coming back to Young and the Restless!

According to Deadline, the Emmy award-winning actor and model will be making a special appearance for the soap opera’s 50th anniversary. Moore confirmed the news on Instagram.

Shemar Moore has made a name for himself in Hollywood, especially on CBS network. Many may know him as Derek Morgan in the television series Criminal Minds, or the heartthrob character Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson in the action-packed hit show S.W.A.T. But before those iconic characters, Moore played the role of Malcolm Winters on the Young and the Restless. Malcolm was introduced back in 2005. He carried the role off and on until 2019— but he’s returning to Genoa City on Monday, May 8 to reconnect with his daughter Lily and nephews Devon and Nate.

The scenario was that Malcolm is the biological daughter of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who was first thought to be his half-brother Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) child. Lily is Neil’s wife, fashion model Drucilla Winters’ (Victoria Rowell) daughter. After DNA testing, Malcolm was proven to be Lily’s biological father and Neil was still deemed as her legal father.

So don’t forget to watch The Young And The Restless 50th Anniversary celebration when he visits the CBS daytime soap in May—and for all of you diehard Shemar Moore fans, SWAT stars every Friday at 8:00 pm.
