Sade, Teddy Riley, and Snoop Dogg Among Artists To Be Inducted Into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame 

We are excited to announce that music icons Sade, Teddy Riley, and Snoop Dogg, will be joining the upcoming class of inductees for the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Also in the group are Gloria Estefan, Jeff Lynne, Glen Ballard, and Liz Rose. The artists will be honored during the 52nd Annual Induction and Awards Gala at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on June 15.

Sade is known for the artist with the velvety voice who wrote hit songs ‘Smooth Operator,’ and the “Sweetest Taboo.” She is notable for her creative songwriting skills.  

Teddy Riley, the brilliant creator of the New Jack City genre, composed timeless songs for artists such as Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Doug E. Fresh, Today, Heavy D And The Boyz, Hi-Five, Guy, Blackstreet, and the King of Pop Michael Jackson.  

Snoop Dogg’s songwriting credits include hits “Gin and Juice,” “Beautiful,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” and so many more. The veteran rapper said that he is “extremely humbled” by this honor.

Glen Ballard is responsible for writing Alanis Morissette’s 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill.” He’s also responsible for MJ’s albums “Thriller,” “Bad” and “Dangerous.”

And kudos to Latin music artist Gloria Estefan, The “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You” singer will be the first Hispanic woman in history to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. She shared her gratitude with CBS Mornings.
