Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have finally given the world a first look at their new baby boy Riot Rose Mayers.
Celebrity photographer Miles Diggs, who professionally goes by Diggzy, debuted a photo Tuesday showing the superstar singer and her rapper partner in a family photo shoot with their newest baby and big brother, 16-month old RZA Athelaston Mayers.
“It’s a FAMILY thing,” the caption on the photos on the photographer’s verified Instagram reads. “Welcome to the World Riot Rose.”
The “Umbrella” singer, 35, and her rapper partner, 34, posed for a series of adorable photos that were shared by different outlets, including Vogue and TMZ.
In the pictures, Rihanna holds baby Riot while Rocky carries RZA on his shoulders, posing together for the first time as a family of four. RZA, who wears the newly released FENTY x Puma Avanti in aged silver, looks adorable in a miniature leather jacket. The musician and mom of two is also photographed carrying her newborn alone as she leans up against a car.
The family is dressed in a jean-themed. RiRi is sporting a royal-blue look — with the denim button-down — and dad’s got a pair of jeans on … with a splashy green flannel to bring it all together.
Young RZA was also wearing jeans, and he is absolutely adorable!
TMZ was the first to report that Rihanna gave birth to Riot in Los Angeles in August 2023.
Rihanna (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) first revealed she was expanding her family during her Super Bowl halftime performance in February.
“She loves being a mom so this is where her mind is at the moment,” a source told PEOPLE in February about Rihanna’s parenting style. “She is the happiest she has ever been.”
Rihanna and Rocky (real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers) welcomed their first son, RZA, in May 2022. In May, the couple celebrated their son’s first birthday by posting a carousel of photos on Instagram.
Sharing a video of Wu Tang Clan founding member Ol’ Dirty Bastard at an award show saying that “Wu Tang Clan is for the children,” as the last slide, he echoed the sentiment in his caption for the post on Instagram. “WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN 🤲” HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN . RZA❤️.”
CNN talked with Wu-Tang Clan member RZA in July and asked about Rihanna’s first child being named after him.
“RZA is not only a name, it’s a title,” he said. “So it’s an honor and I salute her and A$AP and their family. All the blessings in the world from me.”
Many fans believe Rihanna had a baby girl because she’s dressing Riot in pink clothing but Rih Rih has explained why she loves dressing her oldest son in pink and floral patterns in an interview with British Vogue back in March, so baby boy is no exception.
“One of my favorite outfits he has is a miniature version of one of Rocky’s,” Rihanna told the outlet of a tartan kilt she had commissioned for her son RZA.
“I like to dress him in things that don’t look like baby clothes. I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best. I always shop in the men’s department, you know.”
Sources confirmed to multiple outlets including TMZ and PEOPLE that Rihanna gave birth to another boy in August. By the way, RiRi is looking GOOD after just giving birth a month ago.
Growing their family was always the hope for the couple, who have been together for nearly three years. “Listen, I’m down for whatever,” she told British Vogue. “My wish would be I would like to have more kids but whatever God wants for me, I’m here.”
