Rev. Al Sharpton Files For Divorce From Kathy Jordan

Legendary civil rights activist and preacher Rev. Al Sharpton has filed for divorce from his estranged wife Kathy Jordan.

The couple separated back in 2004, but the reverend officially filed divorce documents on Thursday, according to TMZ.

Sharpton and Jordan met in the 1970s, while Sharpton was touring as a backup singer with performer James Brown. They married in 1980 and remained married for 24 years before their separation.

They share two children together.

Since 2013, Sharpton has been linked to girlfriend Aisha McShaw, a 42-year old stylist and designer.

The divorce after a long separation sparked rumors the 66-year old minister plans to wed McShaw.
