Another police officer has been killed in uniform. This time, a sista was shot in cold-blood in Shreveport Louisiana by an unknown assailant while heading to her overnight shift. Chateri Payne was shot four times before she was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the 22 year old mother died from her injuries later on in the night.

Payne had just finished the police academy in November 2018, and she shared with her facebook friends about how brutal and rewarding her career could be.

Long Days. Aching Nights. But I decided to stand tall on my dream. Main lesson taught was to never lose sight of who you are and where you come from. The main thing is to build on who you are and to become an influential and better person for those whom may surround me or I may encounter. My personal mission is to become that positive influence. To Protect those who can’t protect themselves & to at least try to push someone to being a better version of themselves! So sad. It’s unclear who’s house was the crime scene, or whether or not Chateri’s lil girl was on the scene. We do know that this killer is still on the run, and authorities need your help to get this monster off the streets.
