Rest In Peace: Writer For The Hate You Give Dies A Day Before Release.

This is just heart wrenching. The writer for A Dog’s Purpose and the new film The Hate You Give, has just lost her battle with cancer. The Hate You Give was to come out in selected theaters the next day.

Audrey’s husband Brian released a statement on behalf of himself, the couple’s daughter Tatiana, and the family.

“Over the last five and half years, Audrey fought valiantly against her illness and she died surrounded by love. Even during her fight, she never stopped living, working or traveling, and she never lost her joy, wonder and optimism.”

Audrey’s works also includes penning The Truth A bout Cats And Dogs, and writing the screenplay for George Of The Jungle. The 58 year old also directed Tus Can Sun. Audrey had so much more to do in life, but now we’ll never know how far she would have gone in her career.

Thank you for sharing your gift with us Audrey. May you eternally rest in peace.
