Prince’s Siblings Still Not Paid, Reportedly Filed Petition To Get Money From Estate

After 3 years, Prince‘s siblings claim they still haven’t gotten paid from the singer’s estate but lawyers and advisors were able to get their cut.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the “Purple Rain” singer’s sisters Sharon, Norrine, and brother John Nelson have filed a petition for compensation.

Prince’s assets were to go to his six siblings, but the estate is run by Comerica Bank, and the parties haven’t seen eye to eye. The siblings have fought Comerica accusing them of mismanaging money and leaving them in the dark about deals. Comerica has denied the allegations and claimed to be doing the best given the circumstances.

In newly filed documents, Sharon, Norrine and John are asking the court to approve “payment for services and efforts provided to the Estate.”

Prince’s estate is worth an estimated $200 million (down from $300 million) since his death in 2016. Prince died without a will but a judge ruled that his estate would be split between his six siblings.
