Prayers up for Biz Markie. The “Just a Friend” rapper has been in a Maryland hospital for weeks due to a serious illness.

Biz’s rep told TMZ that it’s not coronavirus — but complications from Type II Diabetes. The status of his condition is unclear but it seems serious.

The rep said, “He is receiving the best care from an amazing team of medical professionals and we remain positive about the outcome.”

Biz talked about his diabetes diagnosis back in 2014 and took measures to get it under control. He lost 140 lbs and made it clear that he lost the weight the old-fashioned way.
