The rumors are true Knowsies. Eddie Murphy has officially signed on to do Coming To America 2. The first Coming To America was a blockbuster of a movie back in 1988 starring Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and John Amos. It was all about an African Prince who wanted to explore the rest of the world before he settled down with his chosen bride.Prince Hakeem travels to Queens, New York and falls in love with the daughter of a restaurant owner. The couple eventually pledges their love to each other and get married.

The sequel story line is based on Prince Hakeem searching for his long lost son in the United States.
