Newborn Baby Ejected From SUV In Crash Miraculously Survives Along With Family

A baby that was strapped in his car seat and ejected from a car during a Northern California crash last weekend miraculously survived.

Six-week-old Ezra Benitez was in a sport utility vehicle with his family that crashed and flipped over several times.

According to investigators, the baby’s car seat had been improperly installed and it was flung out a broken window.

Ezra was found upside down in the car seat.

According to police, the infant only sustain minor injuries.

ABC Los Angeles reported that his father, Ulizes Benitez, told KXTL-TV that he crawled out of the SUV and searched frantically for his son, who was found by firefighters.

Ezra’s mother was hospitalized with rib, tailbone and pelvis fractures.

The boy’s father and a toddler-aged brother weren’t hurt, authorities said.
