Back in late June, Nene Leakes confirmed that her husband Gregg Leakes’ cancer had returned — but after a 6-week stay in the hospital, he is now home!

The former Real House Wives of Atlanta star and her husband have been open about his cancer battle.

He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer three years ago (June 2018) — but recently in an intervew with The Jasmine Brand, Nene revealed that Greg had been in the hospital for a week following surgery.

She didn’t share many more details, but she gave fans an update on her husband’s condition this week, noting that he has finally been discharged from the hospital after a lengthy stay.

When one fan noted on Twitter that they thought Nene would be appearing on The Talk, she explained the reasoning for her absence. “I was [supposed] to be hosting The Talk today,” she tweeted on Wednesday (July 28), adding, “But I got good news that Gregg was coming home after being hospitalized 6 weeks.”

Although Nene made it clear that Greg is a private person, they both still wanted fans to know that they appreciate all of the love and support.

Back in June, the reality star posted “Thank you for your many prayers[,] text messages and calls,” she wrote on Instagram. “PS: Gregg says to me, keep smiling.”
