Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes went to Instagram Monday to share that her 23-year old son Brentt Leakes suffered a congestive heart failure and a stroke.
Nene said her family is shocked that her son is going through such a serious medical situation at such a young age.

She said her son doesn’t drink or do drugs — and doctors have run a multitude of tests in order to determine what caused the episode.

According to TMZ, Brentt was in Atlanta when he experienced the heart attack and stroke earlier this month. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. 

Brentt spent several days in the hospital but is now out and going through rehab.

NeNe said Brenttt is still having a hard time speaking, and she’s asking everyone to keep him in their prayers.

Nene shared that she was concerned that Brentt’s illness came from stress following the death of his father Gregg Leakes, who died last year from cancer, but the doctors have ruled that out.

The reality star also mentioned on her Instagram Story that they are open to speaking with buyers who are interested in taking over the Atlanta lounge that Brentt runs. NeNe said that she and her son talked about this move after her husband passed away. Now that Brent has medical conditions, she’s moving forward with possibly selling.
